Celebrate Saginaw’s history, creativity, and community spirit by creating a one-of-a-kind block for the Train & Grain Festival! All Ages Welcome!

Participants may create a block using fabric or non-fabric materials. Let your creativity shine!

Block Requirements

• Block must measure 12" x 12" finished

• Finished edges are required

• Creativity is encouraged! Blocks may be created using a variety of materials, including:

  • Fabric and quilting materials

  • Wood

  • Paper

  • Knitting or crochet

  • Mixed media and other creative materials

• Designs should showcase originality, craftsmanship, and community spirit

• Fabric Quilt Please attach a ribbon or something to hang your entry

Submission Requirements

Please make sure the following information is securely attached to the back of your block:

• Participant’s name

• Contact information

• Name of project/block title

Participants are encouraged to include elements inspired by:

• Train & Grain history

• Railroad heritage

• Grain and agriculture

• Saginaw landmarks

• Community traditions

• Texas pride

• Fall festival themes

Submission & Judging Details

📌 Blocks must be turned in by:
Saturday, September 5, 2026

📍 Drop-off Location:
Saginaw Recreation Center

🏆 Judging will take place:
Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 1:00 PM

Display & Pickup Information

Winning blocks will be proudly displayed at the City of Saginaw Train & Grain Festival on October 3, 2026.
